LOGO and Busines cards

I asked Liam Proniewicz ( www.liampron.com ) - graphic designer to assist with my logo.

Below is the logo which he created and the logo which i have decided to go with.
and this is the rationale he sent me behind this logo:

Rationale:

Firstly, since photography is a clean and clinical profession, it is important that this is evident also in your logo. This is the reason for the thin line and sharp edges in the typeface. Secondly, I have chosen the 'Abraham Lincoln' Typeface as it is slim, and elegant yet still powerful. (All traits of yourself). Since photography is an age old profession, and a portion of your work is done traditionally using film, a serif typeface is important to connote the sense of tradition, since it is associated with class and longevity. The second typeface underneath the line, is 'Arvil'. This is again tall and slim (condensed) in order to appeal to the sharp attention to detail as is key in photography. This one is a sans serif typeface in order to still acknowledge that you are a modern day photographer and are able to turn your hand to both traditional and modern techniques. I have drawn the 'R' to join to the 'H' at the bottom in order to reflect a little of your artistic flair and to simply make the logo unique.
